backup and restore Google Chrome bookmark

Have you ever tried to back up Google Chrome bookmarks on your computer without knowing where to go?
Or want to restore the bookmarks to another computer that has just been reinstalled and don't know what to do?
This article will provide two ways.

1. Back up bookmarks with Google Chrome built-in
This method is actually the most convenient and comprehensive.
You only need to log in to CHROME with the GMAIL you own, and you can back up and restore all settings. This operation can be performed on Windows, Linux and Mac.

After you logon with your Gmail account,
If you still not backup the first time, you will sync the bookmark to google and next time you login with another PC, the bookmark will come back

2. The following methods are applicable to Windows XP users:
Please go to "C:\Documents and Settings\UserAccount\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default" folder,
Then copy the "Bookmarks" file.
Note that "UserAccount" is the account you are currently logging in.

Windows Vista or Windows 7 or windows 8 or windows 10 users:
Please navigate to "C:\Users\UserAccount\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default" folder,

PS: If the Default folder cannot be found, it may be in a folder like Profile 1.

and then copy the "Bookmarks" file.
Note that "UserAccount" is the account you are currently logging in.

Recovery:

When you want to restore, copy the backed up files to the same folder on the new computer.
Finally, restart Google Chrome and the bookmark will come back again.
