How to solve the Adobe Flash EOL for enterprise Flash Application

Urgent!! As Adobe Flash End of life since 31st, Dec 2020. If you still using the Adobe Flash for your enterprise application, you may got an error when you access the Flash based application. If you encounter this situation how to solve and still using the application until upgrade or migrate to new platform?

Here is the solution which you may work. At least, it works for me.


Introduction:


Adobe will stop supporting Flash since 31st, Dec 2020
Browser company announced to remove support for flash plugins and APIs starting early 2021.
Schedule as below:

Firefox: version 85 will remove flash support in January 2021

Chrome/Chromium:  version 88+ will remove flash support January 2021

Microsoft has announced to remove Flash with an optional Windows Update from installations and also shut down distribution sources, you can check the URL https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4577586/update-for-removal-of-adobe-flash-player

Adobe Flash installations have a system-time-controlled to blocks functioning since 12th Jan 2021.

And Adobe Flash stop the download on the internet.


Solution (Internet Explorer 11):

1. search Notepad and Run as administrator

2. Click Yes


3. Copy the value to notepad
Please change your application URL to AllowListURLPattern
It will allow the website can show and use the adobe flash


4. After that, please Click File -> Save as (you must use save as, otherwise, it may fail to save the extension)

5. Save the File name to mms.cfg and save the file under (it is better to save the file to both Paths)

Windows x64: C:\Windows\SysWow64\Macromed\Flash


Windows x86: C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash

6.  Done. Then you are restart the browser and try again. 


Remarks:

Please check the File Type is CFG. otherwise, useless.

Additional:

If you apply this still can not solve your problem, please try to use update your Adobe Flash.
Please noted that Adobe Official already stop the Adobe Flash player software download, please use Windows update Path to install or upgrade the Flash.
